First Work Trip!
This work trip happened during the last week of January, and I am only given the time now to do some updating of my blog. I wonder how I found the free time to blog almost daily in the past. Hmm.
It was KL, nowhere fantastic. I heard about them hosting at HK, Shanghai, BKK and even the States. This year was considered prudent in terms of budgeting thus we were back at Shangri-la Hotel.
4 nights there was quite good. Bed was good old Sealy.

Super comfy not like stupid springy poke-my-rib bed that I have been putting up with for the past 1.5 years. Urgh. Have to bear another 2 more! *roll eyes*
Ok let’s not digress. Where were we? Yes, yummy buffet breakfast spread. Huge toilet.

And a kick ass gym which unfortunately part of it was flooded when we were there. Oh yes you heard me right, I was in the GYM during my work trip okay. All the piggying of course must exercise lah.
Nice dressing table and work table

The sucky thing was there wasn’t any wireless in our room, nor our level. I had to camp at level 18 for wireless and my viber calls.

Iron board for our wrinkled clothes. No excuse to look sloppy.

Chill out couch
There was a sponsored dinner on our second night. Everyone from APAC had been split into 10 groups, all dining at different places, different cuisine. Mine was Japanese Fine Dining. Lucky me. Yum. Poor YT, my room mate got Turkish cuisine.
Food pictures next, don’t drool on your screen ah…
I shall start with dessert. I always want to have my desserts first before my main or appetizer. Because dessert is the most yummy course of a meal, and I am always full by then. But I ain’t that daring to start this unconventional way of eating yet. Besides by doing that, I would have desserts EVERY MEAL, which is not very friendly on my already suffering clothes.

Green tea mousse – I prefer it in ice cream form though.
The appetizer – salmon and tuna sashimi topped off with caviar

Unagi Sushi accompanied with cheesy prawn
Soup – clear and fragrant

Pumpkin croquette

Lovely cod fish. Oomph

Last course – seafood fried rice

How can one miss out hot sake with such a sumptuous Japanese spread?
We had drinks every night. I had to avoid my favourite beer and opt for the lighter choice – white wine.
After days of meetings, trainings and presentation, it was our Gala Dinner at Mandarin Oriental on our final night. After our third course we disappeared from our tables. It was just challenging to sit in round tables with people you barely knew. And under the dim lightings, you could hardly recognize one another in the ballroom.
My team;

The morning after – hangover. And worse, training. Zzz.
What a tiring week indeed. Oh, our flight was delayed at KL. Duh. And that gave this dude a chance to strike up a conversation with us.

Apparently he asked if we speak Mandarin, and we replied in unison. Didn’t know he only intended me to read whatever that was written on his iPhone. YT took this photo so that she could show it to the Boy. Lol. So there it was; the notes app from iPhone. He punched in a poem with lots of weird Chinese (ok my language is really deteriorating). The only thing I recognized was 美妹, and something about being in winter but I seemed to be in spring? Like errrrr. Duh? Quite comical actually. Haha.
p/s: post was written like eons ago in early March and I realised I haven't posted it! I am truly getting senile. oh! I still owe soooooo many entries.
